Philipp Plein
Some designers hide the structure. Philipp Plein made it the statement.
For his Fall/Winter 2024 show at Milan Fashion Week, the brief wasn’t to build a stage. It was to build a world — raw, monumental, unapologetically engineered. Industrial scaffolding rising in tiers. Pink surfaces stamped with the PP monogram edge to edge. Steel frames left deliberately exposed, turned from construction element into design language.

MLM handled the full technical build: a multi-level stage system combining industrial scaffolding architecture with precision-finished runway surfaces. Every tier calculated, every joint visible by design. The tension between raw metal and the saturated pink below wasn't incidental. It was the concept.
A suspended maxi screen above. Spotlights cutting through the dark. Models moving through levels like figures in a structure that felt half construction site, half cathedral.

Charles Eames said it. We built it. Every bolt, every gradient of pink, every angle of steel was a decision, because at this scale, in this context, nothing is background.
