Mission Aldebaran
Some projects begin with a sketch. This one began with a star.
Mission Aldebaran, the installation created by Marc-Antoine Barrois and Antoine Bouillot asked a simple, impossible question: what does a celestial universe feel like when you’re standing inside it?

MLM handled the complete technical production for the installation from engineering concept to on-site execution. Kilometers of suspended ropes mapped across space with structural precision. Sculpted marble seating designed to anchor the visitor in a world deliberately untethered. Over 600 handmade paper tuberoses, each one placed to blur the line between craft and atmosphere.
No element was decorative. Every detail was load-bearing, emotionally, spatially, technically.

The complexity wasn't just structural. It was sensorial. Scent, design, and immersive technology don't follow the same logic, but they have to speak the same language. Our role was to make sure they did: translating a poetic vision into a system that could be built, installed, and experienced exactly as imagined.
Nine months of preparation. Four days of Milan Design Week. One awarded installation.
